Kubuś, 7 year old and his mother arrived on Friday, Nov 12 from Poland to our Home in Schiller Park, IL. Kubuś, suffering from cerebral palsy – lack of muscle control, will undergo SDR procedure, performed at the Children’s Hospital in St. Luis. The SDR procedure involves sectioning (cutting) of some of the sensory nerve fibers that come from the muscles and enter the spinal cord.

The Children’s Educational Workshop is run jointly by “Wyspa Dzieci” (Kids Island) and Gift from the Heart Foundation in our Kids Center in Schiller Park.
