Spring Ball 2015 – Spanish Eyes, Polish Hearts

Annual Spring Ball 2015 at Medinah Shrine in Addison is over but judging by what people say, it was one of the best events ever. 330 guests had  wonderful time, enjoyed Spanish-theme entertainment, good food and beverages and most of all, each other company. As one of the most substantial in terms of financial results fundraisers , each ball offers different attractions to the guest who come to support GFHF. This year for the ladies there were free hair flowers and folding fans for purchase; for gentlemen – fake mustaches . During cocktail hour the Xazz Band was plying selection of Spanish rhythms, during dinner – WiCi Dance Theatre gave wonderful performance of Spanish and Polish dances. Throughout the evening the Slowianie Band made sure that  the dance floor is occupied constantly. And they succeeded.  The Auction and the raffle were popular too. Sylwia and Piotr Wojtowicz of Darpet Windows and Doors Co. sponsored the firs prize, which was the newest iPad. Ladies who bought folding fans had a chance to win a gold & diamond necklace – donation of Grazyna & Marek Maneykowski of Archer Gold Jewelry. As always the owners of the Oak Mill Bakery , Bogna & Walter Solak donated sweets and amazing center pieces that graced ballroom’s tables. Congratulations to all ladies from the Organizing Committee for making this event so successful and thank you for the hard work, dedication and lovely approach to every task that was to conquer. Special thanks to Kuba Luczkiewicz for making a very moving and artistic short film about GFHF children, that was presented at the event.
