Abi, 2.5 years old, underwent an SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) surgery in St. Luis Children\u2019s Hospital earlier this year while staying at the Gift from the Heart Foundation\u2019s House in Schiller Park during her March \/ April 2010 treatment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u201cMy little Abi is making mega progress – even doing squads on her own<\/em>\u201d says mom Ewa.\u00a0\u00a0Mom and dad are carefully watching Abi excising every day, running outside and making incredible progress.\u00a0 Even though Abi is still encountering challenges \u2013 balancing and standing flat on her feet\u00a0– compared to her abilities before the surgery, the progress is incredible \u2013 according to mom.\u00a0\u00a0Proud parents are documenting\u00a0Abi\u2019s process and are amazed how well she is doing.\u00a0<\/div>\n
