W sobote, 13 czerwca, poraz pierwszy w historii Fundacji, witaliśmy na lotnisku O’Hare czworo dzieci jednocześnie! Szczesliwie, na skrzydłach PLL LOT przylecieli do nas: Oliwka Dąbrowska, Mikolaj Smol, Weronika Kepas i Dominik Breksa.
Umożliwienie dzieciom podróży do USA w tak trudnym czasie było możliwe dzięki pomocy U.S. Embassy Warsaw, Ministerstwa Spraw Zagranicznych, PL LOT. i Polish Consulate in Chicago.
Tylko dzięki pomocy naszej Wice- Konsul z Chicago Pani Agaty Czarnota, która osobiście z pokładu samolotu odebrała wszystkie nasze pociechy odprawa imigracyjna przeszła szybko i sprawnie. Dominika wraz z mama i siostrami na miejsce kwarantanny w Palos Hills przewiozła bezpiecznie Pani Justyna Nawrot a Tony Wasilewski i Radek Budzyński przetransportowali pozostałe dzieci oraz rodziców do Domu Daru Serca, gdzie spędzili noc przed wyruszeniem w dalszą podróż. Ze wzgledu na koniecznosc odbycia kwarantanny Dominik, jego mama i dwie siostry sa goscmi Pani Wioli Natalii Tylka, która udostepnila swoje mieszkanie calej 4-osobowej rodzinie na ten okres przed rozpoczęciem leczenia w Comer Children’s Hospital przy University of Chicago. Jestesmy niezmiernie wdzieczni za okazana pomoc!
We have 13 children at the moment, most of them are patients at Paley’s Clinic in West Palm Beach, FL Soon another 5 will arrive. We hope that upcoming Annual Radiothon will secure funds to help these children and those who are in a process of acceptance by various hospitals in the US. Some of the children that we’ve helped came from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Greece and Romania. For over 30 years the Gift from the Heart Foundation has helped several hundred children receive medical treatments from the highest quality clinics in the United States.
